 Puppy / Kitten Exams

 Puppy:

  1. Comprehensive Exams: Eyes, Ears, Mouth/Teeth, Heart, Lungs, Lymph nodes, Abdomen, Skin/Coat
  2. Vaccinations: Starting at 6 weeks, then every 3-4 weeks until 16 wks/4mths. (Parvo/Distemper at every visit, Bordetella > 12wks, and 1 year Rabies vaccinations at > 12wks)
  3. Parasite Screening: Intestinal/Fecal (please bring fecal sample), Skin (Fleas/Ticks/Mange)
  4. Deworming: Specific  (see fecal exam) or General Deworming
  5. Parasite Prevention: Start all puppies on monthly Heartworm and Flea/Tick Prevention.
  6. Weight: monitor changes up or down
  7. Discuss: Dog Food/Feeding, House Breaking, Vaccine Schedule, Disease Avoidance Zoonotic Diseases
  8. Identification: All pets should wear a) Name Tag with address, b) Rabies Tag, and c) have a Microchip
  9. Spay or Neuter at 6mths

 Kitten:

  1. Comprehensive Exams: Eyes, Ears, Mouth/Teeth, Heart, Lungs, Lymph nodes, Abdomen, Skin/Coat
  2. Vaccinations: Starting at 6 weeks, then every 3-4 weeks until 16 wks/4mths. (Feline Distemper at every visit, Leukemia 12wks and 16wks (Outdoor cats only), and 1 year Rabies vaccinations at > 12wks)
  3. Parasite Screening: Intestinal/Fecal (please bring fecal sample), Skin (Fleas/Ticks/Mange)
  4. Deworming: Specific (see fecal exam) or General Deworming
  5. Parasite Prevention: Start all kittens on Flea Prevention.
  6. Weight: monitor changes up or down
  7. Discuss: Cat Food/Feeding, House Breaking, Vaccine Schedule, Disease Avoidance, Zoonotic Diseases
  8. Identification: All pets should wear a)Name Tag with address, b) Rabies Tag, and c) have a Microchip
